Play for the All Stars 6/05/2008
A one-off football and netball tournament will be taking place at Westminster Academy after work on Thursday 17 July to fundraise money for the All Stars Boxing Club. Organised by Paddington Waterside Partnership, Top Corner and Westminster Sports Unit, this is the first fundraising event of its kind to be held in Paddington. The tournaments will be open to five-a-side football (men’s and women’s) and mixed netball teams, with 100% of the entry fee going to the All Stars.

Dragons on the canal 1/05/2008
Dragon Boat Racing returns for the sixth time to Paddington Basin on Thursday 26 June, 6-9pm. As well as a great social and team-building event, it also provides the opportunity for teams to raise much needed funds for local charities. We are currently looking for teams of 11 who think they have what it takes to win the coveted Dragon Boat Trophy for the fastest team and prizes for best dressed and most money raised.

Are your stakeholders involved enough? 16/04/2008
The Charities Aid Foundation has produced a report into ‘The role of stakeholder engagement in corporate community investment (CCI)’. As CCI is increasingly integrated into core business, the direction is driven more and more by the role of stakeholders, in particular, shareholders, employees, customers and local communities. Recognition of this involvement provides added benefits to companies in understanding expectations and improving success of CCI programmes.

A giant plug for Paddington! 19/03/2008
A giant plug has been attracting much interest in Paddington Basin. Designed by James Glancy, the huge plug and hole was installed on the floor of the empty canal in Paddington Basin. The canal was drained in February to allow construction work at Merchant Square and the developers, European Land and Property, commissioned the work to create a visual focal point. The 'Plug and Hole' took six men to install and will remain in place until the end of the summer, when the basin is refilled.

Football InPaddington 21/01/2008
We are delighted to announce the launch of the Football InPaddington leagues hosted by Top Corner and supported by Paddington Waterside Partnership. The five-a-side leagues are aimed at companies in and around Paddington and will begin the week commencing 28 January 2008. Games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9.30pm at Westminster Academy, 255 Harrow Road.

Royal Parks Half Marathon 14/01/2008
The Royal Parks Foundation, the charity for the eight Royal Parks, is launching central London's first ever half marathon on 12 October 2008, starting and ending in Hyde Park. The 12,500 runners will race through four Royal Parks, taking in superb views of Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Marble Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.
