Pedestrians

The development of Paddington Waterside has created excellent new pedestrian routes to the surrounding areas and opened up the waterspace for public enjoyment for the first time in the canal's 200 year history. Where previously the Westway, the railway and the canal had been barriers to local movement, five new pedestrian bridge crossings and 1650 metres of new towpath and boardwalk have been created, providing a continuous link from the head of Paddington Basin at West End Quay right through to the Pool of Little Venice.
