Paddington Waterside is fast establishing itself as a premier business, residential, retail and leisure district of central London. Since 1998 more than 1 million sq ft of commercial development has been delivered which is already home to over 30 corporate occupiers and over 900 new homes. The last few years have seen major changes at Paddington Waterside. The first phases of development at PaddingtonCentral and Paddington Basin are complete with the extension to the Hilton London Metropole, the refurbishment of the Hilton London Paddington and The Lawn area of Paddington station. The previously inaccessible waterspace is now open to the public with metres of new towpath, colourful barges and stunning new pedestrian bridges and open spaces. Covering over 80 acres, the size of Soho, the Paddington Waterside development will continue to grow and is set to total more than eight million square feet providing an additional 1000 homes and will see in total approximately 30,000 people working in the area.
